titleOfInvention Aqueous emulsion composition for surface protection
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the title composition giving a protecting film having excellent water resistance and heat resistance, and easily peelable from the substrate after the protecting period, by dispersing and emulsifying a copolymer of a specific wax, a monoolefin, and maleic anhydride, in water. n CONSTITUTION: An aqueous emulsion composed of (A) 5W25 parts by weight of wax having a melting point of 50W75°C, pref. an oxygen-containing wax obtained by the copolymerization of a ≥30C α-olefin with maleic anhydride, (B) 0.75W10 parts (15W40wt% based on the A component) of a copolymer of (a) ≥24C, pref. ≥30C α-olefin and (b) maleic anhydride, and if necessary, (C) 1W5 parts of an emulsifier, (D) other additives, and (E) water. The oxygen-containing wax given above has excellent emulsifiability, and gives smooth coating film which can be removed easily by steam blasting. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
