abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare a new resin composition having a curing rate controllable in an estremely wide range, and giving a cured product having excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, by compounding a linera polymer of isopropenylphenol with an epoxy resin. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A linear polymer, preferably an oligomer, of isopropenylphenol, expressed by the formula I and/or II (m and n are 0W10,000), etc., is compounded with (B) an epoxy resin and if desired (C) a compound generating free radicals, radical cations, cations, etc. on heating, irradiation with light or ionizing radiation (e.g. radical polymerization initiators such as azobisisobutyronitrile, Lewis acid complexes such as boron trifluoride-piperazine complex, etc.).
