titleOfInvention Thermosetting resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a new resin composition having a curing rate controllable in an estremely wide range, and giving a cured product having excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, by compounding a linera polymer of isopropenylphenol with an epoxy resin. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A linear polymer, preferably an oligomer, of isopropenylphenol, expressed by the formula I and/or II (m and n are 0W10,000), etc., is compounded with (B) an epoxy resin and if desired (C) a compound generating free radicals, radical cations, cations, etc. on heating, irradiation with light or ionizing radiation (e.g. radical polymerization initiators such as azobisisobutyronitrile, Lewis acid complexes such as boron trifluoride-piperazine complex, etc.). Preferably the ratio of the number of the hydroxyl groups in (A) to the number of the epoxy groups in (B) is 0.5W2 and the amount of (C) is 1W5wt%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
