titleOfInvention Preparation of catalyst support
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a titanium oxide type catalyst support with mechanical strength showing high activity for a long period by adding a compound of phosphorus and zirconium to a catalyst support based on titanium oxide hydrate. n CONSTITUTION: In case of preparing the catalyst support containing titanium oxide hydrate as a main component, on the basis of TiO 2 wt., 0.1W15wt% of phosphorus on the basis of P 2 O 5 and 0.1W3wt% of zirconium or the basis of ZrO 2 are added. Subsequently, the obtained mixture is kneaded and baked at 350W1,000°C to obtain a titanium oxide type catalyst support. This obtained catalyst support has mechanical strength and, moreover, high activity because a specific surface area, a fine pore volume and porosity thereof are large. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
