titleOfInvention Exhaust gas purification catalyst
abstract (57) [Summary] A catalyst using a transition metal phosphate compound as a carrier makes it possible to suppress the oxidation of SO 2 and promote the oxidation of HC at the same time. A composite carrier mainly composed of a phosphate of zirconium and a phosphate of titanium, and a noble metal supported on the composite carrier. The oxidation of SO 2 is suppressed by the phosphate of zirconium, and the HC 2 is suppressed by the phosphate of titanium. Therefore, the use of both phosphates makes it possible to achieve both the suppression of SO 2 oxidation and the promotion of HC oxidation.
