abstract PURPOSE: The reaction between a polyester elastomer and a specific compound such as bisoxazolone produces title elastomer with high break and tear strength in a short time without formation of by-products. n CONSTITUTION: The reaction between (A) a polyester elastomer consisting of (a) the acid component mainly containing aromatic dicarboxylic acids, preferably terephthalic acid, (b) low-molecular-weight diols, preferably ethylene glycol, and (c) a polyoxyalkylene glycol of 500W5,000 average molecular weight, preferably polyoxytetramethylene glycol, and (B) a compound of formula I or II (D, X 1 , X 2 are divalent organic radical; formula III is five- or six-membered ring; l is 0, 1; A is tetravalent organic radical; R 1 , R 2 are monovalent organic radical) is effected under the conditions where component A is melted.The proportion of component c among component A is 5W85wt% and component B is 0.1W10wt% on the basis of component A. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
