abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented film having excellent delamination resistance and mechanical strength, and also having excellent anti-curl properties, hue and transparency, especially biaxially oriented film for photographic film. Provided are a polyethylene naphthalate copolymer capable of forming a film and a film thereof. SOLUTION: Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is used as a main dicarboxylic acid component, ethylene glycol is used as a main glycol component, and p-hydroxyethoxybenzoic acid component is used as a copolymerization component in an amount of 0.5 to 10 mol% (total dicarboxylic acid component and p-hydroxy acid component). A polyethylene naphthalate copolymer containing ethoxybenzoic acid component (based on the total amount of all glycol components) and a diethylene glycol component content of 3 mol% or less (based on the total amount of all glycol components); Oriented film. |
