abstract |
(57) [Problem] To clarify a piezoelectric element exhibiting excellent piezoelectric characteristics from a crystal structure. The piezoelectric element includes a piezoelectric layer including a ferroelectric substance having a perovskite crystal structure, and an upper electrode and a lower electrode disposed with the piezoelectric layer interposed therebetween. The crystal has a perovskite crystal structure of a piezoelectric layer having a tetragonal system, a mixture of (001) plane orientation and (111) plane orientation, and an orientation ratio of (001) plane orientation to film thickness. Conditions such as that the ratio is set to be larger than the ratio of the orientation ratio of the (111) plane orientation to the film thickness are satisfied. |
