PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spraying material and a spraying method which have good initial strength and long-term strength and can reduce a slump decrease with time. SOLUTION: This is a spraying material containing a cement mortar mainly containing cement and gypsum, a quick-setting agent mainly containing calcium aluminate, and a sulfite, and a spraying method using these spraying materials. Sulfites are preferably sulfites, bisulfites, and pyrosulfites. An alkali aluminate or an alkali carbonate may be further added to the quick setting agent, and an admixture such as a high performance water reducing agent, a setting retarder, a setting accelerator, or an ultrafine powder is added to the spray material.
