PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet-curable resin composition which is excellent in filling properties into micro-holes, etching resistance, alkali peelability after etching, and can be handled safely, and filling properties using the same. Provided is a method for manufacturing a shadow mask including a coating method capable of obtaining an excellent back coat layer. SOLUTION: In a back coat layer forming step of a shadow mask manufacturing method by a two-step etching method, a shadow mask containing a photopolymerizable compound having a carboxyl group and exhibiting a contact angle of 25 degrees or less with a shadow mask substrate. The ultraviolet-curable resin composition for forming a back coat layer is used as a back coat agent, and is cured by irradiation with ultraviolet light to form a back coat layer. The composition is preferably (A) a compound having one carboxyl group and one acryloyl group or methacryloyl group in the molecule, (b) a compound having one or more acryloyl group or methacryloyl group in the molecule, (c) a leveling agent, and (D) It contains a photoinitiator. |
