abstract | (57) [Summary] The present invention provides a novel resol type phenol resin having a small amount of low molecular components, and an aqueous coating composition obtained by blending the resin with an epoxy resin. The coating film has excellent properties such as hygiene and flavor retention. [Constitution] In a resol type phenol resin obtained by reacting phenols and formaldehyde, a modified bisphenol type epoxy resin having a phenolic hydroxyl group at a terminal is used as a phenol, and a low molecular weight component having a molecular weight of 500 or less is less than 1%. It is a resol type phenol resin characterized by a certain point. |
