titleOfInvention | Planar bicarbonate sensor and method of making and using the same |
abstract | (57) Abstract: In a bicarbonate sensor, the sensor life is extended, the response time of the sensor is shortened, and a stable state is reached quickly at the beginning of use of the sensor. A non-conductive substrate has a conductive region. 6, 17, 20 and 25 are provided. The conductive regions 16 and 17 are continuous and made of silver. The conductive regions 20 and 25 are made of gold. The transducer 15 is provided on the conductive region 16. Except for the transducer 15 and the conductive region 25, the non-conductive substrate 10 is covered with a cover film 26. Further, on the cover film 26, a bicarbonate source and an internal electrolyte layer made of a halide salt of potassium, lithium or sodium are provided. |
