(57) [Abstract] [Purpose] A method for accurately measuring the concentration of combustible gas components in a measured gas without being affected by the oxygen concentration in the measured gas, and a combustible gas in the measured gas. (EN) Provided are a measuring method which is not easily affected by CO and H 2 which constitute a component, and has a high sensitivity to HC which is one of combustible gas components, and an apparatus therefor. A gas to be measured containing a combustible gas component is introduced into a first processing zone, and the oxygen partial pressure thereof is controlled by a first electrochemical oxygen pump cell so that the combustible gas component cannot be substantially burned. While controlling to a low value, the controlled atmosphere is introduced into a second treatment zone, and the combustible gas components present in the atmosphere are introduced into the second treatment zone by a second electrochemical oxygen pump cell. Combustion is carried out with oxygen pumped in, and the pump current flowing in the second electrochemical oxygen pump cell at that time or the voltage between its electrodes is detected, and the amount of combustible gas component in the measured gas is detected from the detected value.
