abstract Kind Code: A1 Abstract: A carbon treatment method is provided that is effective in promoting electroplating of non-conductive surfaces while reducing the bridging time observed during electroplating. A method of electroplating a conductive metal layer on the surface of a non-conductive metal, the carbon particles of which are improved such that the coating of the metal layer on the non-conductive surface is improved during electroplating. It is characterized by denaturing itself. The present invention is particularly useful for electroplating through holes in printed circuit boards.
