[Structure] An anti-bacterial agent such as a thiabendazole agent that acts on the respiratory system of fungi such as mold and silver, which is an antibacterial agent for the purpose of cell destruction of bacteria, is applied to filter paper for air filters made of glass fiber. 0.1 as Ag 2 O Powder of an inorganic compound (hereinafter referred to as a silver-containing inorganic substance) containing ˜5.0% is mixed with an appropriate binder liquid, and the binder liquid is wetted with glass fiber for making an air filter during papermaking. A filter paper for an antibacterial air filter, in which glass fibers are bound with a binder containing a substance having an antibacterial action for impregnating paper.
