titleOfInvention | Melt solidification method and cooling crucible used for the method |
abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] In a method of melting and cooling and solidifying a material using a cooling crucible, the safety and heating efficiency of the cooling crucible are improved, and the disposal of wastes generated during operation is simplified. If necessary, phase separation is performed upon solidification of the molten material. [Arrangement] An energizing coil is arranged around a crucible made of a conductive cooling wall composed of an assembly of segments electrically insulated from each other by a slit, and a material to be melted in the crucible is removed by utilizing an electromagnetic effect. In the melting and solidifying method of melting and subsequently solidifying, a protective wall of a conductive material is provided on the inner wall surface of the crucible. |
