[Effect] The epoxy resin of the present invention has a low melting point and a low melt viscosity, and is excellent in workability. Further, the composition containing this epoxy resin has a high glass transition temperature of the cured resin, It is suitable for semiconductor encapsulation because it has excellent heat resistance and moisture resistance, and cracks are less likely to occur in the package during soldering.
