abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Purpose] A surface-crosslinked superabsorbent polymer that improves absorption under pressure and has a high absorption rate with and without pressure. A solution containing a carboxylic acid monomer or a water-soluble salt thereof and a crosslinking agent is prepared, and a carbonate blowing agent and a polymerization initiator are added to the solution individually or in combination to form a carbonated monomer solution. The carbonated monomer solution is polymerized to form a microporous hydrogel, the microporous hydrogel is chopped or ground into gel pieces, the gel pieces are dried, the gel pieces are ground and the ground polymer 100 Parts by weight of surface cross-linking agent about 0.0 A superabsorbent polymer that can be prepared by a method comprising mixing from 01 to about 30 parts by weight and reacting the polymer with the surface crosslinking agent to crosslink the molecular chains present on the polymer surface. |
