(57) [Summary] [Structure] Glycerin and ethylene carbonate are used as one or more metal oxide catalysts selected from aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, lead oxide, and alumina silicate. A method for producing glycerol carbonate, which comprises reacting in the presence of glycerol. [Effect] High-purity glycerol carbonate can be obtained in high yield by a simpler method than conventionally known methods. |
