Process for producing optically active δ-lactone |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide inexpensive optically active lactones that are fragrant as a fragrance material and can be applied as a compounding material. [Structure] An inexpensive racemic lactone, which is always available, is used as an industrial raw material to act on a lipase of microbial origin to optically resolve the racemic lactone, and the resulting hydroxycarboxylic acid is cyclized to give a natural product. A method for industrially producing optically active lactones of both R-form and S-form that are useful as a preparation material that can be prepared in an abundance ratio. |
