titleOfInvention Linear poly (arylene-ethynylene-arylene-ethynylene) polymer
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Object] The present invention provides a polymer having a π-conjugated bond in its main chain, which exhibits excellent heat resistance and chemical stability, and exhibits electrical conductivity and photoresponsiveness. In addition, the solubility in an organic solvent is enhanced, the molding process is facilitated, and the utility as a general-purpose functional material is enhanced. [Structure] An aromatic compound having two halogens (X) in the molecule and an aromatic compound also having two ethynyl groups are subjected to dehydrohalogenation coupling reaction in the presence of a palladium-copper catalyst and an amine. And a linear poly (arylene-ethynylene-arylene- Ethynylene) polymer. Alternatively, an aromatic compound having one halogen (X) and one ethynyl group in the molecule is subjected to a dehalogenation hydrogen coupling reaction with a solvent in the presence of a palladium-copper catalyst and an amine to give A in the formula below. The polymer is such that r = Ar ′. [Chemical 16]
