(57) [Summary] [Structure] The present invention has the formula: The optically active R or S-1 characterized in that the racemic 1-aryl-1,3-diacetoxypropane represented by the following formula is stereoselectively hydrolyzed by an immobilized lipase. -A novel method for producing aryl-1,3-propanediol. [Effects] Optically active R or S-1-aryl-1,3-propanediol can be produced by mild reaction conditions and simple post-treatment. |
