abstract | (57) [Summary] (Corrected) [Purpose] Providing thermal recording paper with excellent color development such as color density and color sensitivity, suitable for high-speed recording. [Structure] A heat-sensitive recording layer containing an electron-donating colorless dye and an electron-accepting compound together with a phenylsulfonylacetic acid derivative ester of the general formula [1] or a benzoylaminoacetic acid derivative ester as a hot-melt compound is provided on a support. Thermal recording paper. (X is a —SO 2 — or —CONH— group, R 1 is hydrogen, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a nitro group, a halogen atom, an acyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group or an acylamino group, and R 2 is hydrogen or an alkyl group. R 3 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group, and these substituents may be further substituted with other substituents, such as an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a nitro group, a halogen atom or an acyl group.
