titleOfInvention Production of laminary oligosaccharide
abstract PURPOSE: To readily obtain the subject useful medical drugs, foods, etc., by treating a mixture composed of a respectively prescribed amount of glucose and glucose-1-phosphoric acid with laminaribiose phosphorylase, etc. n CONSTITUTION: A living being belonging to Euglena order is subjected to extraction to obtain an enzyme (A) consisting of laminaribiose phosphorylase and/or β-1, 3-oligoglucan phosphorylase. A reaction system (B) is then obtained by adding glucose and glucose-1-phosphoric acid to a tris-hydrochloric acid buffer solution, etc., so that the initial concentration of glucose and the initial concentration of glucose-1-phosphoric acid may be lmM-2M and 10mM-<2M respectively and so that the concentration of glucose-1-phosphoric acid may be ≥0.1M based on 1M glucose. The component (B) is subsequently reacted at pH 5-8, 20-60°C and for <100hr to obtain the reaction product (C) and ethanol, etc., is added thereto to obtain a precipitate. The resultant precipitate is purified, thus producing the objective laminary oligosaccharide having 2-20 average polymerization degree. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO&Japio
