abstract | PURPOSE:To prepare the title material excellent in weatherability, strengths, etc., by compounding a specific ethylene-vinyl chloride copolymer resin with a specified amt. of a plasticizer component comprising a high-mol.-wt. polyester plasticizer and/or a phthalic ester plasticizer having a somewhat high mol.wt. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. ethylene-vinyl chloride copolymer resin having an average degree of polymn. of 1000-4000 and an ethylene unit content of 0.5--10wt.% is compounded with 30-90 pts.wt. plasticizer component comprising a polyester plasticizer having an average mol. wt. of 1000-8000 (e.g. a poly-1,6-- hexanediol adipate plasticizer) and/or a phthalic ester plasticizer having an average mol.wt. of 450 or higher to produce the title material. The material is suitable for the use in an indoor water reservoir, swimming pool, heat storage vessel, etc., as well as rooftop waterproofing. |
