titleOfInvention Analysis employing lithium salt as reagent for dissolving red blood cell or modifying hemoglobin
abstract PURPOSE: To modify a hemoglobin derivative quickly utilizing anion in the form of lithium salt. n CONSTITUTION: A dissolving/modifying anion is effective for modifying a hemoglobin derivative by dissolving red blood cell to discharge hemoglobin for the purpose of sufficient detection by immunoassay. A thiocyanate is employed most preferably and a peracid salt, cyanate, iodate and periodate are also included. Consequently, lithium tiocyanate is a preferable dissolving/modifying reagent and it is effective at a concentration of about 3.5mol, which exceeds about 0.5mol in a medium or mixture liquid for discharging or modifying the hemoglobin derivative, in the temperature range between room temperature (about 20-25°) and about 37° in the presence of an oxidizing agent. This method realizes a quick modification. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO
