titleOfInvention Dispersion stabilizer for suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride-based monomer
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the title dispersion stabilizer capable of giving porous vinyl chloride resin granules narrow in granular distribution and excellent in uniformity, thermal stability, etc., comprising as specific block copolymer and a PVA with each specified saponification and polymerization degree. n CONSTITUTION: The objective dispersion stabilizer comprising (A) a block copolymer of PVA and a lipophilic polymer having ≥5C alkyl group and (B) a PVA 65-95mol% of saponification degree and 300-3000 in polymerization degree with the weight ratio A/B=(10:90)-(90:10). It is preferable that said lipophilic polymer has structural unit derived from a ≥5C lipophilic monomer such as stearyl (meth)acrylate. It is preferable that the component A be prepared by radical polymerization of said lipophilic monomer in water in the presence of a thiol- terminated PVA. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
