titleOfInvention | Dispersing agent for emulsion polymerization |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide the subject dispersing agent composed of a salt of a polystyrenesulfonic acid consisting of a sulfonated PS having a specific molecular weight and a sulfonation degree falling within a specific range and effective in performing polymerization without causing the deterioration of the stability of the system in polymerization and the troubles in foaming. n CONSTITUTION: The objective dispersing agent is a salt of a polystyrenesulfonic acid having a sulfonation degree of 80-95% and consisting of a sulfonated PS having a weight-average molecular weight of 2,000-100,000 (preferably 5,000-50,000). The sulfonated styrene can be produced also by the copolymerization of styrene and styrenesulfonic acid (salt) at a molar ratio [styrenesulfonic acid (salt) : styrene] of preferably 80:20-95:5. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio |
