abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having low water-absorption and good moldability and suitable for electrical communication equipment and tool, etc., by compounding a polyamide, a thermoplastic polyester, a fibrous reinforcing material, an inorganic filler, etc., at specific ratios. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) 18-74wt.% (preferably 25-45wt.%) of a polyamide (e.g. 6-nylon), (B) 2-40wt.% (preferably 5-30wt.%) of a thermoplastic polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate), (C) 10-40wt.% (preferably 25-30wt.%) of a fibrous reinforcing material, (D) 1-40 wt.% (preferably 5-25wt.%) of an inorganic filler, (E) 10-30wt.% (preferably 15-25wt.%) of a bromine-based flame-retardant and (F) 1-10wt.% (preferably 2-8wt.%) of a flame-retarding assistant at an A/B ratio of 9/1-5/5 (preferably 5/1-3/2). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
