titleOfInvention Method of setting seat skin on integral foamed mold seat
abstract PURPOSE:To prevent a mismatch between a molding die and a seat skin and to eliminate crinkling, a slippage or the like so as to appropriately set the seat skin by joining an uncompleted seat skin at unconnected parts to each other through the intermediary of temporarily locking means in such a condition that the incompleted seat skin is aligned with a molding recess in the molding die. CONSTITUTION:Skin forming pieces 2 for constituting a seat skin 3 are cut in predetermined shapes from a skin material 1, and then are joined together by sewing 4 or the like in an incompleted condition so as to obtain an incompleted skin 5. Further, unconnected parts of the skin forming pieces 2 are joined together through the intermediary of temporarily locking means 13 while they are aligned a molding recess 11 of a molding die 10, and therefore, the seat skin 3 is set in the molding recess 11. No slippage, crinkling and the like are present in the incompleted skin 5 having unconnected parts which are joined by the temporarily locking means 13. A pad material 14 such as urethane or the like is charged into thus formed seat skin 3, and is foamed so as to complete an integrally foamed molded seat 15. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a mismatch between the molding recess of the molding die and the skin during setting of the skin, and to prevent occurrence of disadvantages such as crinkling, kinking or the like in the product.
