titleOfInvention | Optically active compound and production thereof |
abstract | PURPOSE: To readily enable efficient obtaining of an optically active compound at a relatively low temperature in high yield by carrying out ester interchange reaction between a specific compound and an ester in the presence of a hydrolase. n CONSTITUTION: An ester (A), such as triglyceride, is mixed with a compound (B) expressed by formula I (R 1 is H or 2-20C acyl; R 2 is 3-40C alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl) at (0.5-2):1 molar ratio and dispersed in a solvent, such as toluene, to provide a substrate solution (C). A hydrolase (D), such as lipase, derived from the genus Pseudomonas, is then added to the component (C) and subjected to asymmetric ester interchange reaction at 30-45°C for 5-2000hr in the absence of water to afford a reaction product (E), which is subsequently separated by column chromatography, etc., to produce an optically active compound which is the R- or S-isomer expressed by formula II (C marked with * is asymmetric carbon). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
