abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an antacid-containing suspension for internal use, having excellent dispersibility and redispersibility, uniformly dispersible in administration, capable of being readily taken, rapidly showing effects, consisting of an antacid and a starch (derivative). n CONSTITUTION: (A) An antacid such as magnesium metaaluminate silicate, synthetic hydrotalcite, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium oxide or magnesium hydroxide having preferably 0.01W20μm, especially 0.01W5μm particle diameter is blended with (B) a starch or starch derivative (e.g., starch, starch ether or crosslinked starch) in the ratio of 0.1W70% (W/V), especially 0.1W30% (W/V) component A and 0.05W20% (W/V), especially 0.1W5.0% (W/V) component B based on total amount of the suspension.
