abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flux composition which is excellent in solderability, is hard to deposit flux residue on a pallet mask, and is also excellent in copper plate corrosion resistance when performing local soldering, and a soldering method using the same. The purpose is to provide. SOLUTION: (A) a rosin-based resin, (B) an activator, (C) a solvent, and (D) a chlorendic acid derivative are contained. The components (A) are (i) a first rosin-based resin having a softening point of 120 ° C. or higher, and (ii). A flux composition containing at least one selected from the group consisting of hydrogenated rosin and disproportionated rosin, and a second rosin-based resin having a softening point of 90 ° C. or lower.
