A method for preparing methyl methacrylate from methacrolein and methanol. The method comprises contacting a mixture containing metachlorine, methanol, and oxygen in a reactor with a heterogeneous catalyst containing a carrier and a noble metal, the catalyst having an average diameter of at least 200 microns. The oxygen concentration at the outlet of the reactor is 0.5 to 7.5 mol%, the reactor is a partition, has a catalyst bed on the first side of the partition, and has a catalyst bed in the first direction. Includes dividers that have a flow through and a flow to the second side in the opposite direction in the divider. [Selection diagram] None |
