PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite oxide powder for an air electrode material capable of suppressing a decrease in conductivity while maintaining a high open porosity of the air electrode. A composite oxide powder having a perovskite structure used as an air electrode material of a solid oxide fuel cell, having a volume average particle diameter of 2.0 μm or less and a crystallite size of 400 Å or less. Is characterized by. Here, it is preferable that the composition formula of the composite oxide powder is represented by the general formula (1).
