abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody for cancer diagnosis which specifically binds to human-derived midkine, and a kit for cancer diagnosis using the same. SOLUTION: The affinity for human-derived midkine, which is increased in prostate cancer, malignant lymphoma, liver cancer, esophageal cancer, duodenal cancer, colon cancer, bile duct cancer, gallbladder cancer, pancreatic cancer, thyroid cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer and the like. Provided are anti-midkine monoclonal antibodies that have high specificity and specifically bind to these, and highly reliable cancer diagnostic kits utilizing immunoassays using the same.
