The present invention is a method in which collected serum / plasma is heated as it is, or a sample with or without the addition of a thiol inhibitor is heated (incubation) to a certain temperature, and small particles LDL and small particles before and after heating are heated. LDL cholesterol or small dense LDL cholesterol (sLDLc) is measured, and the results are compared with each other, and the increase amount is superior, for example, 1.5 times or the increase rate is superior, for example, 50% or more.
