abstract Disclosed is a method for increasing the sterilizing power of sterilizing water even when the concentration of a component contributing to the generation of a sterilizing factor is low. The sterilizing water contains water, transition metal element ions (copper), and a component that reacts with the ions and contributes to the generation of a sterilizing factor (hydrogen peroxide). The pH of the sterilizing water is adjusted to 7-9. A first aqueous solution having a weight concentration of 1 to 500 ppm of the ion and a second aqueous solution having a weight concentration of 1 to 500 ppm of a component that reacts and contributes to the generation of the bactericidal factor are mixed, and the pH is 7 to 9 and sterilized water.
