abstract An antibacterial, bactericidal or antiviral composition containing a silver-amino acid complex having high stability against ultraviolet rays and a method for producing the same are provided. A silver-amino acid complex comprising 1 mole part of silver and 1 to 3 mole parts of an amino acid such as histidine, and a compound that generates hydrogen peroxide such as hydrogen peroxide or sodium peroxide, per mole of silver. An antibacterial, bactericidal or antiviral composition containing hydrogen peroxide in a proportion of 0.002 to 1000 mol and having a pH of 6 or higher. [Selection figure] None
