abstract |
A radiation curable composition for additive modeling is described and claimed. Such compositions are particularly suitable for investment casting applications and include a cationically polymerizable component, a radically polymerizable component, certain types of certain antimony free sulfonium salt based cationic photoinitiators, and free radical photoinitiators. In other embodiments, the composition may also include a photosensitizer and / or a UV / absorber. Also described is a method of using a liquid radiation curable resin for additive molding with a specific type of a predetermined antimony-free sulfonium salt cationic photoinitiator and a specific type of a predetermined photosensitizer in an investment casting process.
