Liquid radiation curable resins of varying color and / or opacity are described herein along with their use in additive shaping processes. A method is described and claimed to improve the additive shaping construction process by at least temporarily controlling the penetration depth of the liquid radiation curable resin. Described herein are liquid radiation curable resins that are curable to three-dimensional articles having a certain amount of color and / or opacity. The resulting three-dimensional article has the ability to further change color and / or opacity and has excellent mechanical properties.
