The present invention relates to a new method for preparing influenza viruses from DNA constructs. In the above method, elements of the reverse genetics method are combined with classical re-aggregation techniques and the use of two or more different VLPs to produce a fully infectious virus capable of replication. The method contacts a first population of host cells with a viral segment, eg, seven of the eight influenza genomic segments, or a plasmid or other vector encoding eight of the eight genomic segments, eg, an adenoviral vector. Including a step. |
