abstract The present invention provides a method for maximizing the effect of treating and preventing neurodegeneration and inflammatory diseases using an NRF2 (NF-E2-related factor 2) activator with minimal side effects. An NRF2 activator such as zonalol, carnosic acid, dimethylfumaric acid, quercetin, catechins, and chlorogenic acids and an organic acid such as α-ketoglutaric acid, pyruvic acid, and oxaloacetic acid are used in combination. [Effect] The amount of NRF2 activator used can be limited, and side effects can be minimized. [Selection figure] None
