abstract |
A method for analyzing a sugar chain structure of a glycoprotein or glycopeptide, and a sample preparation method for the analysis are provided. In a method for preparing a sample for analysis, a first reaction for modifying or removing at least one primary amino group contained in a peptide part of a glycopeptide or glycoprotein, and a carboxy group of a sialic acid of a sugar chain are added. A second modifiable reaction is performed in sequence. The second reaction is a reaction in which α2,3-sialic acid and α2,6-sialic acid produce derivatives having different masses.
