abstract | A dry powder inhaler having a polyflux collider that serves to deagglomerate the dry powder. A polyflux collider (32) having spaced apart first and second inlet openings (44, 46), a body at least partially surrounding the volume and a single outlet opening (42), A polyflux collider arrangement is provided. Upon inhalation of a single dose, a negative pressure is applied to the outlet opening that draws a first flow of dry powder from the first inlet opening into the enclosed volume and towards the outlet opening. This negative pressure likewise draws a second flow of dry powder from the second inlet opening into the enclosed volume and directs it towards the outlet opening. The first and second flows of dry powder impinge in the enclosed volume and dry to form a collective flow that passes through the outlet opening and determines the dose of dry powder.
