titleOfInvention | Nucleic acid amplification |
abstract | Methods and compositions for the amplification of nucleic acids and for the production of concatamers are disclosed. The amplification methods provided herein can be performed under isothermal conditions. The methods and compositions can include reagents such as nucleic acid polymerases and primers. There is an increasing need for methods and reagents for the amplification of nucleic acids. Generation of multiple copies of a particular nucleic acid is often necessary or useful for the nucleic acid to be used in a given application. For example, to analyze the nucleotide sequence of a nucleic acid of interest, the nucleic acid is replicated frequently to increase its copy number before the sequence is analyzed. |
