Process for the preparation of type 1 fluticasone propionate |
abstract |
A novel crystallization method for preparing fluticasone propionate as a type 1 polymorph crystal having a controlled particle size and suitable for micronization. Fluticasone propionate is dissolved in acetone or a solvent consisting of a mixture of 0-10% water in acetone and then the solution consists of 0-35% acetone in water or water. A novel crystallization method comprising the step of crystallizing fluticasone propionate in the form of crystals from a solution in addition to a non-solvent. [Selection] Figure 4 |
