The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an implantable medical device comprising an oxygen sensitive rapamycin derivative, wherein the oxygen sensitive rapamycin derivative is protected by adding an antioxidant during the manufacturing process and is added at the beginning of the processing step. The amount of agent is such that when the device is fully manufactured, sterilized and packaged, the amount of antioxidant is reduced to a minimal amount, preferably an undetectable amount. |
