titleOfInvention | Metal particle-supported catalyst, catalyst composition, and method for producing hydroxy fatty acid |
abstract | Provided is a reusable metal particle-supported catalyst which is suitably used in a reaction for producing a hydroxy fatty acid by oxidizing an aliphatic diol, wherein the yield and selectivity of the hydroxy fatty acid is high in the reaction. Metal particles including a noble metal containing gold and palladium in a molar ratio of Au: Pt of 90:10 to 30:70 and an amine oxide type amphoteric surfactant, and hydrotalcite carrying the metal particles are provided. A metal particle-supported catalyst having a support containing is used. The metal particle supported catalyst acts as a catalyst composition containing an oxidizing agent and a base.
