titleOfInvention | Storage system and storage control circuit |
abstract | A storage system capable of holding data even when power supply is stopped. To provide a storage system that can reduce the power required to retain data. A memory cell having a transistor with a small off-state current is used as a cache memory. Data retention can be achieved by utilizing the small off-current, and data can be retained semipermanently by performing refresh once per hour. In addition, when the supply of power is temporarily stopped, the power can be kept using the power that can keep the transistor turned off, so that the power can be significantly reduced as compared with the configuration in which the data is saved.
