An object of the present invention is to provide a toner in which low-temperature fixability, heat-resistant storage stability and image quality are compatible at a high level by controlling the state of the pigment in the toner particles and uniformly dispersing the pigment therein. A toner having base particles containing at least a polyester resin, a colorant, and a release agent, and having a glass transition temperature (Tg1st) of 20 ° C. or higher at a first temperature increase in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of the toner. The glass transition temperature [Tg2nd (THF insoluble matter)] in the second temperature increase in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of the tetrahydrofuran (THF) insoluble content is 50 ° C. or lower, and is 30 ° C. or lower. A toner, wherein a ratio of the colorant existing in a region within 1,000 nm toward the center is 50% or less of the entire colorant. [Selection] Figure 1 |
